Melissa, you always make the GREATEST cakes! You are so darn creative! I love both of these! :)
What a pretty cake! It looks like the perfect girly cake for a birthday party :)
Awesome cakes, Melissa!
Question on the number 2 - how did you make it? I have struggled with large solid numbers as cake toppers. Would love to find out how you made yours - it looks great!!

Thanks Chelle - this was the first time I have used gumpaste, so I'm not sure my method was "right", but it definitely worked! I used the premade gumpaste, rolled fairly thick (maybe it could be rolled much thinner and still hold up?) - about 1/8" - 1/4" or so? I just printed out a 2 in the size I wanted, cut it out and traced around it on the rolled out gumpaste. You can tell I made the number 2 and the bow a few days in advance, as the color lightened up quite a bit. I wanted to make sure it would be dry and sturdy enough to stand up. Hope that helps!
You are such a pro now! Your cakes look amazing!
